The Mansion House Hotel is not currently running at full potential. The gym and swimming pool are not in use, and food service is limited. The hotel web site is out of date with regard to available facilities, and assurance ratings. It is advisable to confirm details when you make your booking.
Occupying a beautiful 19th century baronial style country house, the Mansion House Hotel has been a superior hotel in the past, and some elements of that style persist. There is however currently room for improvement if it wants to live up to the claims of its marketing materials.
Bedrooms are nice, clean and provide en-suite facilities. Wifi is available throughout the property.
Breakfast is good. A small bar with limited drink selection is available. A function suite is available.
The hotel is situated beside the Tesco Extra, just off the A96 which runs through Elgin. The city centre is a ten minute walk and the train station around 16 minutes. There is free parking in front of the hotel for residents use.
